In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and support the mental well-being of our community. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness while managing side effects. Provide counseling and health coaching to patients and their families. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Stay informed on current practices in psychiatric nursing and participate in continuous education. Provide support in areas such as senior care, medical-surgical care, and workers compensation law as needed. Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice. Experience in psychiatric nursing or related fields is preferred. Skills in IV insertion, sonography, and DME are advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and patient care protocols. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
