Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Nurse Practitioner is anadvanced practice nurse who utilizes a high degree of knowledge,skill and competence in a specialized patient care area. Thisposition assesses, diagnose, prescribes, initiates plan of care andevaluates outcomes within the scope of a formal collaborativepractice agreement with physician(s). Responsibilities

  • Participates in professional development
  • Manages the health careof patient populations with compassion through advanced healthassessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in acollaborative practice agreement with a physician. Prescriptiveresponsibilities are reviewed by collaborative physician.
  • Coordinates the care of patient populations, in a collaborativepractice agreement with a physician, to ensure promotion of healthand wellness through education of patients and families,coordination of services and placing referrals.
  • Assessesdevelopment needs of staff and develops and delivers appropriateeducational programs to meet staff needs.
  • Develops treatmentplans, treats patients with acute problems including illnesses andminor injuries following a predetermined protocol in acollaborative practice agreement with a physician. MinimumRequirements Education
