- 401(k)and Pension Plan Overview Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Thenurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as ahealthcare provider, working within a multidisciplinary health teamto provide comprehensive care to patients and families acrosspractice settings.
They demonstrate a high degree of clinicalexpertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnessescommonly encountered within the inpatient setting. The roledemonstrates advanced clinical knowledge, interdisciplinarycollaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. Theywork with staff, nurses, physicians, and medical/surgical traineesto assure safe, effective, quality patient care. The positionrequires coverage of evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Adult-Gerontology Primary CareNurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), FamilyNurse Practitioner (FNP)
SLCH:
Certified Pediatric NursePractitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC), Certified Pediatric NursePractitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC), or Family Nurse Practitioner(FNP) Preferred Board Certification(s):

- Provides compassionate,appropriate, and effective patient and family-centered care forhealth recovery, illness prevention, treatment of critically ill,or end-of-life care.
- Responsible for assessment, diagnosis,treatment, management, education, health promotion, and carecoordination for patients and families with acute and chronichealth needs in an academic inpatient setting.
- Communicates andcollaborates effectively with patients, families, physicians,medical/surgical trainees, and other health professionals.
- Demonstrates the highest level of accountability for professionalpractice by participating in professional development, qualityinitiative/performance activities, and implementing standards ofcare within area of specialization.
