Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice provider (PA or NP) job duties may include but are not limited to: Providing patient care in the outpatient clinic, hospital, ASC/OBL or long term care setting. Obtaining comprehensive health histories, as appropriate. Performing comprehensive physical examinations including development and functional status determination, as appropriate Systematically assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. Developing a prioritized comprehensive problem list, as appropriate. Ordering and/or performing and interpreting pertinent diagnostic tests. Participating in interdisciplinary quality improvement efforts to improve clinical practice. Demonstrating knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients and families while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Collaborating with other staff members to improve quality of patient care. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Skills:
Successfulcompletion of a Masters in Nursing program or Physician Assistant program. Must havesuccessfully completed the required clinical practice hours of the accredited university.
Certification/Licensure:
A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Mississippi as a FNP or current Physician Assistant license. Also, prefer a current certification in
ACLS. WORK SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
