The Jacksonville, NC Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic is recruiting primary care physicians. We provide exceptional care that improves the

improvement. We’re growing our Primary Care Team across the healthcare system. The opportunity details are listed below.

Work schedule:

Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm, no weekends or call
BC/BE FM or IM Candidates Ability to mentor and supervise advanced practice providers
Panel size is typically 1,200 (male and female)
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to Veterans in the Primary Care team setting; outpatient include both scheduled and unscheduled Veterans.
Function as an integral part of a Primary Care multi-disciplinary team.
Establish a diagnosis and initiate appropriate response to emergency health problems.
Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations to other clinical services.
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment and/or referral.
Initiate, evaluate, and change orders for medications.
Include patient and family in planning care and establish realistic, measurable goals for health maintenance/improvement.

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Position eligible for up to $200,000 over 5 years with a maximum of $40K per year.
