Subject to the medical protocols established byAssociation and the Chief Medical Officer of Concentra and incooperation with other physicians assigned to a clinic or “Center”,if any, Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner shall provideprimary medical direction and coordination of professional medicalcare within the occupational health program.

Responsibilities:
  • Examines patient, compiles patient medical data and results ofexamination.
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such asx-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Compiles patientmedical data, including health history and results of physicalexamination.
  • Interprets diagnostic test results for deviationsfrom normal.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections,immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance withprescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  • Developsand implements patient management plans, records progress notes,and assists in provision of continuity of care.
  • Assists in thedevelopment, implementation and revision of policies affectingmedical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care
  • Assists in the development and presentation of education andinstructional programs.
  • Provides excellent customer service toall patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Bookvalues.
  • Dedicated to exceeding customer and patient expectationsas measured by NPER/NPS/TATs.
  • Ensures accuracy when completingand executing tasks and performing quality assurance checks.
  • Ensures accurate, concise, timely and complete documentation ofresults and paperwork.
  • Provides an excellent, compassionate andwarm patient experience regardless of patient volume.
  • Ability tomanage time, prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs such as scheduling andworking additional/different hours/shifts when appropriate.
  • Ability to consistently deliver quality care in a busy clinicalenvironment.
  • Takes action to assist in other areas and to do whatis needed to ensure an excellent patient experience.
  • Seeks outopportunities for additional clinical training and self-developmentin order to consistently provide quality care.
  • Effectivelycommunicates with all patients, clients, supervisors and peerswhile incorporating Orange Book values.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ degree inrelated health field from an accredited college or university
  • Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
  • Graduate ofan accredited PA or NP program of an accredited university
  • BoardCertification
  • Occupational Medicine experience preferred, but weare willing to train otherwise qualified candidates in this area ofmedicine
  • FMCSA NRCME

    is required prior to start date

  • we providethis CME for colleagues not already certified
  • DEA required priorto start date
