Job Description
Responsibilities The Orthopaedic Clinic at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester is seeking a highly motivated Physician Associate (PA) , with experience and advanced training in Orthopaedics. Nurse Practitioners (NP) with First Assist will also be considered for this position. Working with the Orthopaedics team, the APP will be involved in patient care primarily in the outpatient clinic, but also in the OR and performing inpatient rounds. Operating room responsibilities will include the surgical first-assist role . This is a full-time day position, with minimal call responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
Provides continuous, collaborative, and comprehensive advanced care Performs specified procedures Communicates with various specialty medical services and support professional services. Participates in and performs patient triage and initiates appropriate treatment Implements routine preventive care. Implements and optimizes analgesia. Coordinates the discharge process. Documents patient status by entering admission, transfer, progress, and procedure notes. Coordinates rehabilitation with consultant therapists, including, but not limited to, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. Required Licensure/Certifications Requirements for
Experienced Nurse Practitioners:
RN and APRN currently (or eligible) licensed in NH. Must be RNFA certified. Requirements for
Experienced Physician Assistant:
Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician’s Assistant in the state of New Hampshire. Academic preparation at the Master’s level required.
