The Nurse Practitionerprovides health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis andtreatment of acute illness and chronic conditions. Prescribesmedication, examines patients, diagnoses illnesses, and providestreatment. Advises executives to develop functional strategies(often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercisesindependent judgment and decision making on complex issuesregarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimalsupervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis ofvariable factors and determining the best course of action.
