Hospital based independent practice looking to hire full time Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner at our Freehold location. Prior experience in Internal Medicine is needed . Experience in Hematology/Oncology is a plus. Also provides nursing assessments, patient education and case management for patients with complex conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings other requirements Recent grads with oncology nursing background are encouraged to apply. Performs history and physical examinations and carries out appropriate intervention/procedures as determined by the plan of care according to the highest standards of care. Promotes excellence in care and customer service in the assigned unit. Team player and should work well with the practitioners, staff and nurses Review lab reports and call back patients Effective analytical and organization skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients. Analytical skills to evaluate patient’s status and healthcare procedures/techniques and to monitor quality of care. Willingness to learn and remain flexible in the changing healthcare environment. Ability to assist staff in times of crisis or emergency. Ability to conceptualize, develops, and implements new ideas or systems. Ability to meet with the public outside the institution and efficiently market and promote cancer treatment.
