Description Pulmonary Medicine is looking for a full-time NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team!

Responsibilities Practice medicine with physician supervisionincluding conducting examinations and writing prescriptions.

Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medicalneeds of patients. Assess patient status by obtaining healthhistory. Order/perform laboratory diagnostic and other screeningtests. Treat illnesses, give injections, suture wounds. Monitortherapies and provide continuity of care. Counsel patient/family onpreventive health care. Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews,staff education, clinical guideline development and othercontinuing education. Annual SalaryRange:

$100,000- $150,000 CCP salary ranges are designed to becompetitive with room for professional and financial growth.

Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to eachcandidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills.

Requirements Licenseand active registration as a physician assistant or registerednurse/nurse practitioner in New York State.

Physician Assistant:

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in physician assistant studies andsuccessful completion of physician assistant training programapproved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by theAccreditation Review Commission on Education for the PhysicianAssistant, or a program that is determined by the Department to bethe substantial equivalent of a licensure qualifying or accreditedprogram. Attainment of passing grade on the Physician AssistantNational Certifying Examination administered by the NationalCommission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Currentcertification by National Commission on Certification of PhysicianAssistants. At least one year of experience as a physicianassistant in ambulatory health care. Current CPR certification.

Nurse Practitioner:

Successful completion of and graduation from anurse practitioner education program acceptable to NYSED. Currentcertification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy ofNurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the AmericanNurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Successful completion ofpharmacology coursework acceptable to NYSED. Three years ofprofessional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.

At least one year of experience as a nurse practitioner inambulatory health care. Current CPR certification.
