Position:

Full Time + Benefits We have an opening for a full-time, experienced Family/Adult Nurse Practitioner to join an established Hospitalist team at Geneva General Hospital. 1-2 years of acute care experience as nurse or nurse practitioner is preferred. This daytime position has flexible and rotating 12-hour shifts that allows for work-life balance. This is an employed position with a very generous compensation package to include competitive salary, incentives, student loan repayment, sign-on bonus, on-site child day care and much more! Clinical Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and complex illnesses. Perform physical exams. Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.) Initiate treatment plans. Prescribe medications. Perform or assist with procedures (e.g., central lines, chest tubes, intubation depending on scope and facility). Stabilize critically ill patients Manage ventilators, titrate drips, interpret ECGs, etc. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other providers. Patient & Family Communication Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and prognoses. Deliver updates during rounds or after changes in patient condition. Provide emotional support during critical situations or end-of-life care. Administrative & Documentation Maintain thorough and timely electronic health records (EHRs). Ensure documentation meets legal and institutional standards. Participate in quality improvement or case review meetings. Leadership & Education Serve as a clinical resource for nurses and residents. Train staff or provide continuing education. Stay current on best practices and evolving treatments in acute care. On-Call & Shift Responsibilities Often work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Be available for rapid response or code situations. Rotate through units depending on need (ICU, ER, med-surg, etc.)

Full-time Pay:

$120,422.00 – $180,814.00 per year
