Nurse PractitionerJob Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced in-house Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team. The NP will play a critical role in providing high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients or employees (depending on setting), support our physicians, and help manage acute, chronic, and preventative health needs. This position offers a collaborative work environment with a strong focus on patient outcomes, compliance, and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical exams, patient assessments, and diagnostic evaluations Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses independently or in collaboration with physicians Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans according to state scope-of-practice laws Monitor patient progress, follow up on treatment outcomes, and adjust care plans as necessary Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards Coordinate referrals to specialists, diagnostic testing, or hospital admissions when needed Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment adherence Assist with internal quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and protocol adherence Participate in case management, staff training, and interdisciplinary meetings as needed Serve as an accessible resource for medical questions from staff or caregivers (if applicable)
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in [Insert State] National board certification (e.g., ANCC or AANP) Minimum [2-5] years of clinical experience preferred Strong understanding of diagnostics, pharmacology, and primary care Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
