As an APP you will perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. Position:
Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant – Breast and Endocrine Surgery
Shift:
Full Time, 40 hours/week. Monday – Friday 8a-5p, no weekend or holiday requirements
Experience:
1. Minimum 2 years Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in women’s health and/or breast surgery preferred.
3. Willingness to learn thyroid and parathyroid cancers, if not already experienced.
4. Willingness to learn how to read ultrasounds
Education:
1. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
2. MSN or Masters of Science required.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
2. Certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) or Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
3. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
5. May require PALS (pediatric advanced life support).
6. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
