In this role, as a member of the CHOP Fetal APP team, you will care for patients who are pregnant with high-risk fetuses. You will provide prenatal and postnatal care, coordinate multidisciplinary team care, and assist with fetal procedures both in the outpatient clinic and in the operating room. Scrub experience is helpful but not necessary. Previous experience in Women’s Health and/or Prenatal Care strongly preferred. Proficiency with fetal heart rate interpretations required in addition to other basic obstetric assessment skills. Day shift with some weekend/night call required. The Richard D. Wood Jr. Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is an internationally recognized leader in fetal diagnosis, fetal surgery and fetal care. We offer highly specialized care to mothers carrying fetuses with known birth defects that require fetal surgery and treatment before or after birth. Here at our Center, you’ll find comprehensive, family-centered care in one location, from advanced diagnostic testing, prenatal management and fetal surgery to a special delivery unit, counseling and support services, and expert postnatal care. Our Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit was the world’s first birthing unit dedicated to healthy mothers of babies with known birth defects. Since 1995, we’ve cared for more than 28,658 expectant parents from around the world and performed more than 2,104 fetal surgeries, an unparalleled level of experience caring for the tiniest patients before, during and after delivery that helps us achieve the best outcomes possible. As part of one of the top-ranked and largest children’s hospitals in the U.S., we have a high volume of patients and treat the full range of fetal anomalies. We’re one of the few fetal centers in the world to offer open fetal surgery for life-threatening conditions, as well as a variety of other fetal interventions such as minimally invasive fetoscopic surgery and ex utero intrapartum therapy. Responsibilities Manage a cohort of patients, perform and document daily assessments, collect data, and analyze findings to inform family-centered plans of care. Perform advanced procedures listed in the Scope of Practice and approved as a part of the credentialing process. Serve as a consultant and educational resource to patients, families, students, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members. Participate in scholarly activities and maintain required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate educational offerings. Address safety issues and demonstrate shared accountability for safe practice.

SALARY RANGE

$104,600.00•$138,600.00 Annually Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you’re working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.•This job is eligible for an incentive program.
