Advanced Practitioner RoleScope Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective care for women,and participates in the medical management of patients, to achieveor maintain optimal health status, manage disease and reduce riskof illness. Engages in independent decision-making regarding thehealth care of women across the lifespan and across the health carecontinuum. Practices within a health care system that allowsmedical consultation, collaborative management and referral healthcare of women, i.e. well woman, gynecology, obstetrics (antepartum,labor, delivery and postpartum), and family planning. Reports tothe Medical Director or Nurse Manager, or a matrix which mayinclude Nurse Manager, Nursing Director, Medical Director, or somecombination of those.

- Graduate ofan accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner,Nurse-Midwifery Program Master’s program preferred
- Licensed, oreligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant, AdvancedPractice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistantor National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice RegisteredNurse through AACN or ANCC, or Certification by the AmericanCollege of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
- Labor and delivery experiencerequired
