Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of 10 years of overall advanced practice nursing experience, including at least 3 years of specialized experience in the management of endocrine disorders and diabetes. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a diverse range of endocrine and metabolic conditions, with a strong emphasis on diabetes care. We value independent clinical reasoning and diagnostic insight. In this role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Manage complex patients across the spectrum of diabetes
  • from type 1 to LADA, type 2, insulin resistance, pump therapy, and CGM integration
  • Be deeply involved in medication management, technology optimization, and behavioral aspects of diabetes care
  • Collaborate with patients who expect

  • more than standard protocols
  • Engage with thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, metabolic bone, and lipid disorders, as part of a broader endocrinology practice
  • Have confidence in managing insulin therapy, GLP-1s, SGLT2s, and advanced diabetes tech
  • Have passion for improving outcomes, not just lab values
  • Have experience providing patient education and counseling on disease management, medication administration, lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise), and self-management skills
  • Collaborate effectively with the supervising physician, other healthcare professionals (including medical assistants, diabetic educator), and support staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhere to practice policies and procedures, and adhere to all HIPAA regulations including patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
  • Current and valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license (South Carolina)
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC, AANP)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 3 years of specialized clinical experience in endocrinology and diabetes management
  • Strong clinical knowledge base in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience with NextGen Office (preferred, not required) We offer :
