Summary:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant specializing in wound care to join our team. This is a full-time 5 days per week position. You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of assigned patients in the in-home, nursing home and assisted living settings. This position requires the NP/PA to travel in a designated area to perform wound care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage wound care at skilled nursing and assisted living facilities Manage wound care in the in-home setting Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans Assess, monitor and report changes in patient symptoms Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding wound care Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities Maintain accurate patient medical records Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Responsibilities:
Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields Familiarity with medical software and equipment Ability to build rapport with patients Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Knowledge and experience of wound and ostomy care
Education and Experience:
Master of Science in Nursing/PA equivalent Must be Board Certified in SC Excellent customer service skills Full-time position available (Monday – Friday) Flexible work hours, NO night or weekend calls, great staff to work with! Potential bonus pay!
