Family Nurse Practitioner –

Adult Medicine Tandem Health SC Sumter, SC Qualifications:

Licensed as a registered nurse and officially recognized as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina. Master’s Degree in nursing preferred. Five years of clinical nursing experience required. One-year clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner with focus in primary care preferred. Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Must be flexible as to the changing needs of the center. Must maintain prescriptive authority recognition. Must have the ability to work as a team player at all times. Current CPR certification required.

Work Environment:

Very busy atmosphere. Highly stressful when dealing with individual personalities of co-workers, patients and their families. Potential for regular exposure to blood-borne diseases (Category I). Potential for exposure to chemical hazards (Category B).

Physical Demands:

Considerable sitting, standing or walking. Assists in lifting and moving patients as necessary. Lifts supplies/equipment up to 20lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs. frequently. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Must be able to act rapidly and effectively while following policies and procedures, and utilize principles of management during routine as well as emergency situations.
