Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Lotus Wellness 1003 Gallatin Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner We are looking for a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Lotus Wellness. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high quality care to clients receiving treatment for mental health challenges. Availability in-person will be necessary Monday-Friday, 8 hours a day. Duties include formulating care plans and participating in treatment planning, medical intake and assessment, educating clients on medications, and provide medication and medical supply management.

Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities :

Help provide primary care to clients Perform physical exams and patient observations Record patient medical histories and symptoms Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests Monitor and operate medical equipment Diagnose health issues Detect changes in patient health and change treatment plans as necessary Administer medication and treatment Evaluate responses to treatments and medications Consult with healthcare professionals Train patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention

Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

Masters degree from accredited nursing program Must have RN/NP licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state Must have prescriptive authorization Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by the work Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-view technology Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and in written form, with retail and medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA Experience providing care as a nurse practitioner Knowledge of disease prevention

Experience:

At least one year full-time experience or the full-time equivalent with the management of mental health in a licensed treatment facility (preferred) Understand the clinical benefits and limitations or urine screens, toxicology, and other testing procedures

Qualifications:

Organizational and administrative skills Ability to work independently Ability to work under pressure Familiarity with health and safety issues surrounding mental health & substance abuse
