Description Job Summary:
The NP/PA employed by Erlanger will provide specialized medical services within our Joint Replacement clinic. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and assisting in surgical procedures. Experience in Arthroplasty is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage. This position offers a collaborative team environment where professional growth is highly valued. The Orthopedics team at Erlanger is known for their exceptional teamwork and dedication to patient care. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm with minimal call responsibilities. The NP/PA must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Functions include managing the care of orthopedic and/or surgical patients, performing orthopedic splinting, casting and traction procedures, preparing the patient for discharge, completing History and Physical examinations, as well as discharge summaries. The NP/PA must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient and customer satisfaction. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices patient population. Participates in the practice’s quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
Education:
Required:
Master of Science in Medicine of a certified Physician Assistant program or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN),
Nurse Practitioner Experience:

License/Certification/Registration Required:
Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant/Nursing in the state of Tennessee. BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward
