Urgent Team is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, andexperienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join ourdynamic healthcare team in Knoxville, Tennessee. PRN shifts arecurrently available!

The Urgent Team Family of Centers provides qualityand affordable family healthcare at more than 80 locations underseven brands. Urgent Team’s convenient, walk-in centers provide arange of healthcare services including treatments for injuries andillnesses, occupational health and wellness care. The centers areopen seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.,Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, all Urgent Teamcenters are Accredited Care Centers – a designation from the UrgentCare Association which recognizes the company’s commitment tosafety, quality, and scope of services.

JOB SUMMARY

As a NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant at urgent Team, you will play acrucial role in providing exceptional medical care to patients ofall ages with a wide variety of acute and chronic medicalconditions. Working collaboratively with a team of healthcareprofessionals, you will diagnose, treat, and educate patients whileensuring the highest standard of care and service. Our full-timeProviders work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilitiesgenerally reflect the expectations of this position, but are notintended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors andcoworkers.
  • Provide convenient, friendly patient care to all whocome through our door seeking health related services.
  • Provideleadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies whilemaintaining a comforting and reassuring affect for patients.
  • Working environment subject to varying fast paced and high stressconditions, including long and variable hours, changing locations,and continuous and frequent contact with others.
  • Performs medicalassessment, treatment, management and follow up of clinic patientsincluding, but not limited to: primary care, urgent care,occupational health, DOT physicals and workers compensation.
  • Performs medical procedures including, but not limited to:laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splintingand abscess incision and drainage.
  • Establishes and monitors amedically appropriate level of care for clinic patients.
  • Oversees, directs and supports on site laboratory, x-rays,injections, and collections for direct access services, ifapplicable.
  • Maintains clinical core competency.
  • Works withCenter Leadership and other staff to ensure operations areconsistent with medical policy and professional standards.
  • Cooperates and participates in the development, implementation andrevision of policies affecting medical practice, quality of careand patient satisfaction.
  • Participates in and assists within-service and continuing education programs for physicians, nursesand other personnel employed by or associated with Company.
  • Recommends potential means of growth and development for new and/orexisting services within the Center.
  • Assures compliance withlicensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
  • Participates indevelopment and presentation of education programs for staff.
  • Represents Company and the clinic as reasonably required atinternal and external meetings or events.

g. physician assistants, nurse practitionersand medical assistants) to ensure quality professional services andpatient satisfaction

WHAT’S REQUIRED?
  • 1 year of relatedexperience; or the ability to practice independently without onsitephysician supervision
  • State License as an APRN or PhysicianAssistant
  • Certification as an APRN or Physician Assistant throughthe AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
  • DEA license, or willingness to obtainupon hire
  • DOT certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • BLS certification
