Position Summary:
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide direct psychiatric care, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning for clients with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders in a residential and outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed Collaborate with therapists, counselors, nursing staff, and other providers to ensure coordinated care Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings Provide education to clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies, including HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license with PMHNP certification Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing program DEA license (or ability to obtain one) Experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or dual-diagnosis treatment preferred Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills Compassionate, professional, and committed to high standards of care
