$105K – $127K a year 2 days ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications CPR Certification Addiction counseling BC/BE Mid-level DEA License AED Certification Full Job Description This is a highly complex position requiring the individual have a thorough understanding of the facility’s treatment program, philosophy, admission process, admission criteria, medical and clinical treatment of substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients. Individuals must be able to work interdependently and mange a variety of duties.
- Conducts therapy, medication assessments, and crisis response to new and existing patients. Develops individual service plans based upon assessment data and provides therapeutic interventions as necessary including the provision of ongoing medication management services.
- Provides consultation and health education to staff , caregivers, and clients as it relates to the treatment and medication needs of agency consumers.
- Maintains documentation of services including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, treatment plan reviews and other required information in compliance with agency and third party compliance standards.
- Receives medical supervision from medical director and psychiatric consultants consistent with applicable Protocol for Provision of Nurse Practitioner Services.
- Completes other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor that are consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
Education:
Graduation from an approved college or university.
License:
Licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee. Working knowledge of alcohol and substance abuse, dual diagnosis and rehabilitation programs, including 12 step programs. Performs admission History and Physical, Psych evaluations, identifies medical and health risk, orders and accurately interprets diagnostic test, systematically reviews records and treatment plans, determines effectiveness of medial plan of care and modifies plan as needed, identifies and prescribes appropriate non-pharmacological agents and pharmacological agents. Conducts client round and sick call, documenting medical progress, notes specific detoxification unit and during course of treatment.
