Job Description

This position requires at least 5 years of clinical experience as an advanced practice provider (NP or PA) for consideration. A Brief Overview The Trauma Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Education Liaison is responsible for overseeing the educational development and training programs for trauma advanced practice providers within Regional One Health. This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational initiatives to ensure that advanced practice providers deliver high-quality care in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The APP Education Lead collaborates with the Lead APP and the Medical Director of Acute Care Services to identify educational needs, develop curricula, and facilitate professional growth opportunities for advanced practice providers. What you will do

Curriculum Development:

Develops comprehensive educational curricula tailored to the specific needs of advanced practice providers, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other relevant healthcare professionals. Collaborates with subject matter experts, clinical leaders, and educational specialists to design evidence-based educational content that aligns with best practices and current healthcare trends. Ensures that educational materials are engaging, relevant, and accessible to advanced practice providers. Ensures curriculum includes scheduled lectures, with topics related to Trauma/Acute Care/ICU or any other topics deemed pertinent.

Educational Program Implementation:

Organizes and facilitates educational sessions, workshops, and training programs for advanced practice providers to enhance their clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and professional competencies. Collaborates with resident education, in boot camps or other hands on educational opportunities provided.

Performance Evaluation and Feedback:

Establishes mechanisms for assessing the effectiveness of educational programs and evaluating the competency levels of advanced practice providers. Develops and administer assessments, surveys, and evaluations to gather feedback from participants regarding the quality, relevance, and impact of educational activities. Analyzes data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make evidence-based recommendations for enhancing educational initiatives. Provides evaluations of APPs in coordination with the Lead APP and the Medical Director of Acute Care Services.

Continuing Education and Professional Development:

Stays abreast of advancements in healthcare, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in advanced practice through ongoing professional development and networking. Collaborates with professional organizations, accrediting bodies, and industry experts to identify opportunities for continuing education and certification programs for advanced practice providers. Provides guidance and support to advanced practice providers in pursuing advanced degrees, certifications, and other professional development opportunities to advance their careers.

Collaboration and Communication:

Fosters collaborative relationships with clinical leaders, department heads, and interdisciplinary teams to align educational goals with organizational objectives and strategic priorities. Serves as a resource and liaison for advanced practice providers, offering guidance, mentorship, and support in navigating educational opportunities and career pathways. Communicates effectively with the Lead APP and the Medical Director of Acute Care Services to promote awareness of educational initiatives, solicit input, and address concerns or feedback in a timely manner. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant Program Required and Master’s Degree Preferred and Additional training may be required for specialty areas. Required and Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates. Required Licensed Nurse Practitioner Licensed Nurse Practitioner Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant certification or registry eligible. Upon Hire Required and RN
