Job Description Summary The Team Leader in the Order Tracking Department will help lead the clinical support staff and collaborate with providers at all clinic sites. Partners with leadership to create a patient focused practice environment, focused on success in the areas of patient experience, quality, access, employee engagement, revenue cycle, financial performance, physician satisfaction, care coordination, patient, and employee safety. Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and department. Job Description Essential Functions Is responsible for completing all competencies for employees of the Order Tracking department. Is responsible for arranging orientation for new employees of the Order Tracking Department. Assists in the interview and hiring workflow. Creates staff schedules. Responsible for organizing and maintaining all incoming orders for outpatient diagnostic procedures and surgeries. Review of clinical chart for compliance reimbursement and compliance with medical necessity guidelines, to include facility and physician records Refers patient accounts to outsource vendors for assistance with financial needs. Orders supplies needed for department. Performs order tracking and able to assist during times of peak volumes. ` Completes orientation and annual competencies for staff. Assists with the authorization /pre-certification of Radiology exams. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with all customers of Southeast Health. Assists with calculation of estimates for self-pay patients and coordinates self-pay processes. Actively works with physicians and their staff to coordinate clinical services for urgent and emergent services. Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization and department. Direct Reports (supervised positions) Order Tracking Staff Qualifications Minimum Education Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN Licensure for the State of Alabama. Minimum Education Preferred Five (5) years’ nursing experience. Minimum Experience Required Ability to work in a closed work area. Minimum Experience Preferred Knowledge of community services preferred. Required Skills/Abilities
