In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a group home setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of resident care principles and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with health challenges. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide medication administration as directed by nursing staff. Support patients in mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas to ensure a safe environment. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and progress. Assist in the management of infectious disease care protocols as necessary. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and patient service coordination. Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the overall patient experience. Requirements Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is beneficial. Familiarity with medication administration procedures is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.
