Balanced angels of Mississippi LLC Tuscaloosa, AL 35404 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care and have experience working with diverse populations, including those with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document changes in clients’ health status and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety during outings. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans effectively. Utilize eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and record-keeping as required. Experience Previous experience in patient care or as a Personal Care Assistant is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is beneficial. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring behavioral health support is a plus. Experience in an ICU or Level II Trauma Center setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential. $10.00 – $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
