Responsibilities:
  • Lead and integrate a fully developed SkinHealth and Wound management program in collaboration with nursingcenter management.
  • Support central supply serving as the clinicalexpert for skin, wound, and incontinent products.
  • Oversee durablemedical equipment related to the prevention and management ofwounds.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a RN license (MPT/DPT withleadership review/approval)
  • Must complete Skin Health Team Leadorientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire
  • Commitment to attend monthly support calls is required.
  • Must havenational accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC,AWCC)or be committed to complete Advanced Wound Training andnational accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire (Forthose hired with wound certification, completion of a fast-trackhybrid program for regulatory wound care requirements will beprovided)
  • Knowledge and experience with clinical charting,incident reporting and investigation response is required.
  • Musthave a strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care fornurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on thenursing center team.
  • Experience in team building and demonstratingrespect for the interprofessional team in wound management isrequired.
  • Must have knowledge of national wound guidelines andwound products.
  • Knowledge of nursing home regulations and surveyprocess is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, DatabaseManagement, PowerPoint skills are required.
