ABOUT THE ROLE
The CNA assiststhe licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties andactivities of daily living.
Here are a few of the dailyresponsibilities of a
Caregiver:
Assists residents with dressing,grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting andexercising.
Gives treatment, performs tests, carries out proceduresand collects specimens as instructed.
Reports and recordsobservations and results of treatments, tests, procedures andspecimens when indicated.
Transfers, transports and escortsresidents as needed.
Answer signal lights promptly.
Changes bedlinens, makes beds, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
Here are afew of the qualifications we need you to have:
Successful completionfrom a state approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Registrationwith state registry required.
Ability to understand and followinstructions in English, communicate effectively, and performsimple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
High schooldiploma or equivalent
