The floor support specialist is responsible in creating a pleasant, conducive environment for elderly clients. They encourage participation in center programs, which are meant to assist clients in the development of physical, emotional, and social skills intended to promote well-being, independence, and self-confidence. The floor support specialist will keep records of patient progress, and will report any observed problems to a supervisor and (if applicable) the client’s case manager or social worker. Floor support specialists should have excellent manual handiness and a high level of interpersonal communication skills appropriate to the elderly.
Duties:
Provide clients with help for transportation loading and unloading
Assist clients with day to day personal care needs, i.e. feeding, toileting, center activities and programs, and etc
Maintain records of patient care and progress
Report and discuss observations with supervisor and case manager or social worker
Entertain, converse with, and encourage center service program participation
Assist with checking patients’ pulse, temperature and respiration when needed
Ensure a safe and healthy center environment
Maintain positive client and employee relationships
Maintain a positive, workable, and conducive environment for elderly clients and staff

A valid driver’s license
Level 2 background screening
