Individuals should have experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, strong communication skills, problem solving ability and organizational skills. Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant for Elderly
Responsibilities may include light housework, meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping and running errands, companionship, and assistance with personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring and ambulation activities, range of motion exercises, vital signs ,temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure
Primarily work in the client’s place of residence or facility
Shift times, days and activities vary with client needs
Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant for Elderly
Must have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile
Pass a written competency evaluation, drug screen and a nationwide background check
Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
Must have current CPR certificate
TB Negative Chest X-ray Result
Annual Physical Free from Any Communicable Diseases
Driver’s License
CNA License
CEU Alzheimer’s Dementia Related Disease (4Hrs.)
CEU HIVAIDS
CEU Assisting with self-medication (2 Hrs.)
