Job Description
CNA/HHA Care Placement Home Health Agency Clearwater, FL 33755 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in geriatrics and hospice care, and be skilled in maintaining medical records and utilizing healthcare software such as Epic. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients. Monitor and record patient vital signs and health status accurately in medical records. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients. Support patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals. Administer basic life support when necessary and respond to emergencies effectively. Educate patients and their families on health management and care plans. Collaborate with healthcare teams in teaching hospitals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs. Assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals while promoting independence. Qualifications Previous experience in patient care, particularly in geriatrics or hospice settings is preferred. Familiarity with medical records management systems such as Epic is a plus. Knowledge of basic life support techniques and first aid is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently while being part of a larger healthcare team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
