We’re seeking a passionate, positive, team-oriented LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality, holistic care to patientsthroughout their healthcare journey and ensure they are comfortedand feel like they are being heard. Our ambulatory LPNs work underthe supervision of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Provideror Physician and have the autonomy of being the primary nurse for aprovider within their scope of practice. Responsibilities
- Ensuresthe health, comfort and safety of patients
- Documents a thoroughmedical history from patient
- Contributes to the assessment ofpatients and administers medications or treatments as ordered
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals
- Counselingpatients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, onprevention and treatment plans
Qualifications LPN:
Graduate from anaccredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following isrequired in
North Dakota:
graduation from a Board approved AASPNprogram where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion ofan IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-statelicensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains requireddepartment specific competencies and certifications.
MA:
Must be agraduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program. Priorexperience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Nationallycertified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA). Certification(CMA) obtained through a nationally approved certification programfor medical assistant, including but not limited to, the AmericanAssociation of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified ClinicalMedical Assistant (CCMA) through the Nation Health CareerAssociation (NHCA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC)through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), orNational Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the NationalCenter for Competency Testing (NCCT), etc. Registration (RMA)obtained through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) alsoacceptable.
Additional state requirements include:
Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification required within six months ofemployment. Re-certification as required.
