Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to becomepart of our facility’s compassionate care-giving team. The CNA willinteract directly with residents, providing comfort, and assisting withdaily living needs. We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate andenergetic individual to be a vital link between our patients and thenurses and other facility staff.

Theprimary purpose of this position is to provide quality nursing care toresidents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordancewith the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as directed by yoursupervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

- CNAs provide quality nursing care to residents in anenvironment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice anindividuality.
- Demonstrate respect, attention and awareness toward thediversity among the people we serve (residents, families, caregivers,etc. (through their attitude, service and actions.
- CNAs areknowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents and providessupport to the resident in accordance with their care plan.
- Identifiesand participates in QAPI process or leave as area of development.
- CNAsassist in daily requirements and task in care and treatment ofresidents. Areas of care include bathroom assistance, general personalhygiene (bathing, dental hygiene, hair and nails) dressing, mobilityassistance and food intake, and other needs in keeping with theindividuals’ care requirements.
- Maintains resident rights andconfidentiality.
- Documents all ADL’s in electronic health record.
- Observes and reports symptoms, reactions and other changes in conditionpromptly.
- Routinely turns and positions residents as required by careplan.
- CNA complies with all aspects of residents’ rights. Isresponsible for promptly reporting any incidents or evidence or residentabuse or violations of resident rights to the charge nurse oradministration.
- Honor resident right to refuse care, report suchrefusal to nurse supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, neat andclean environment.
- CNAs answer resident call bells promptly andcourteously.
- Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help arechecked frequently.
- Takes and documents temperature, pulse andrespirations rates, food and fluid intake and output, and heights andweights and records in EHR.
- Ambulates and transfers residents usingthe appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Use only theequipment you have been trained to use, operate in a safer manner andreports any defective equipment to supervisor immediately.
- Communicateand interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors,families, peers, and supervisors.
- Assist and escort residents toappointments such as the hair salon or attending activities, churchservices or doctor’s appointments.
