- •Must have a currentCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state ofMassachusetts•• We will pay your way through an LPN program orassociate-level RN program.
Essential Job Functions:
- CNAs providequality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes theirrights, dignity, freedom of choice an individuality.
- Demonstraterespect, attention and awareness toward the diversity among the peoplewe serve (residents, families, caregivers, etc. (through their attitude,service and actions.
- CNAs are knowledgeable of the individualized careplan for residents and provides support to the resident in accordancewith their care plan.
- Identifies and participates in QAPI process orleave as area of development.
- CNAs assist in daily requirements andtask in care and treatment of residents. Areas of care include bathroomassistance, general personal hygiene (bathing, dental hygiene, hair andnails) dressing, mobility assistance and food intake, and other needs inkeeping with the individuals’ care requirements.
- Maintains residentrights and confidentiality.
- Documents all ADL’s in electronic healthrecord.
- Observes and reports symptoms, reactions and other changes incondition promptly.
- Routinely turns and positions residents asrequired by care plan.
- CNA complies with all aspects of residents’rights. Is responsible for promptly reporting any incidents or evidenceor resident abuse or violations of resident rights to the charge nurseor administration.
- Honor resident right to refuse care, report suchrefusal to nurse supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, neat andclean environment.
- CNAs answer resident call bells promptly andcourteously.
- Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help arechecked frequently.
- Takes and documents temperature, pulse andrespirations rates, food and fluid intake and output, and heights andweights and records in EHR.
- Ambulates and transfers residents usingthe appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Use only theequipment you have been trained to use, operate in a safer manner andreports any defective equipment to supervisor immediately.
- Communicateand interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors,families, peers, and supervisors.
- Assist and escort residents toappointments such as the hair salon or attending activities, churchservices or doctor’s appointments.
