Nursing Assistant – Evening/Overnight Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

The Nursing Assistant functions in a complimentary or assistive roleunder the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse andLicensed Practical Nurse. The Nursing Assistant provides direct patientcare and carries out individual duties on select patients in accordancewith policies and procedures of Berkshire Medical Center.

• MultipleShifts/Departments Available

• Experience:

• Patient Care experiencepreferred.

• Education and Training:

• High school diploma orequivalent with completion of a Nursing Assistant course and/or currentstatus as a student in a Registered Nurse or LPN preparation program.

• License, Certification & Registration:

• CPR certification isrequired.

• MA NA REGISTRY

• MA Certified Nurse Aide preferred.

• OtherRequirements:

• Ability to follow guidelines, protocols and/orpolicies specific to each unit and the institution.
• Familiarity withMeditech preferred.
• Medical terminology required or willingness topursue as necessary.
• Ability to consistently interact in aprofessional manner with patients, families, physicians, other membersof the healthcare team. Adheres to BMC Service Excellence Standards inperformance of work role.
• Must possess and demonstrate excellentorganizational skills necessary to complete complicated and multipletasks accurately and concurrently.
• Must have the ability to accept andfacilitate changes within systems, work methods, policies, procedures,etc.
• Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to maintain congenialand calm composure in stressful environment.
• Ability to maintainconfidentiality in accordance with hospital policy and variousregulations..
• Ability to promote patient safety with detail toaccuracy.
• Demonstrates dependability to maintain a work schedule.
