Job Summary:

The Residential Nursing Team Leader at Multicultural Community Services(MCS) is responsible for overseeing the nursing team’s systems andservice delivery across the residential program. This role includessupervising other nurses within the residential program, coordinatingwith the Clinical Director, and ensuring that holistic care iseffectively delivered in collaboration with the Positive BehaviorSupport (PBS) clinicians. The Residential Nursing Team Leader will playa pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of care for individualssupported within the residential program.

Key Responsibilities:
TeamLeadership:

Oversee and supervise the nursing staff within theresidential program, ensuring that nursing services are deliveredefficiently and by MCS standards.

Service Coordination and Liaison:

Oversee the nursing team?s coordination with the Clinical Director andPBS clinicians to ensure holistic care for individuals across theresidential program. Serve as the primary liaison between the nursingteam and the Clinical Director, ensuring that nursing practices arealigned with the goals of the Clinical Team and that communication flowsefficiently across all departments.

System Management:

Oversee thenursing team?s systems, including medication administration,documentation, and compliance with Department of Developmental Services(DDS) and Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations.

Staff Training:

Identify and address the training needs of nursing staff, coordinatingwith the Residential Director, Clinical Director, and MCS TrainingCoordinator to provide necessary training.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensureadherence to DDS and DPH regulations, Department of DevelopmentalServices Human Rights Standards, Disabled Persons ProtectionCommission?s (DPPC) mandated reporter guidelines, and Office of QualityEnhancement (OQE) indicators.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

Monitorand maintain all medical/medication records, ensure timely reporting,and complete documentation of medication errors, medical incidents, andother required medical documentation.

Program Representation:

Attend andparticipate in DDS MAP meetings, ISP meetings, and other relevantmedical or specialist appointments as necessary.

Continuous Improvement:

Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with bestpractices in nursing care, particularly for individuals withdevelopmental and intellectual disabilities.

RequiredQualifications/Skills/Training:

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), with at least1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental andintellectual disabilities. ?

Certification:

Current Massachusetts RNlicense, DPH MAP certification, and CPR and First Aid certification. ?

Skills:

o Strong leadership and organizational skills. o Competency inMicrosoft Outlook and Word. o Ability to work collaboratively withmultidisciplinary teams. o Familiarity with the needs of the ID/DDcommunity..
