Nursing Assistant ASNA Hirextra Pvt Ltd Camden, ME Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care, long-term care facilities, and critical care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient service and the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and developmental challenges. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff. Provide basic care for patients with infectious diseases while adhering to safety protocols. Support patients in mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety during transfers. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship. Assist in the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff. Requirements Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in patient care is preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and empathy. Ability to work effectively in both team-oriented and independent settings. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and healthcare systems is advantageous. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
