About the Position
Nurse Team Leads (Chief Nurses) monitor county health departments within an assigned district area to assure nursing services are provided in accordance with applicable program standards and agency policies, and within the scope of the MS Nurse Practice Act. Provides guidance and instructions to nursing staff within a district area regarding public health care standards and practices. Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of district level nursing staff. Plans, directs, and coordinates training of nurses and nurse aides within assigned district. Assists with recruitment and hiring of staff. Advises district and regional administrative staff regarding implementation of agency program standards and policies. Other duties as assigned. This is a Non-State, TIME-LIMITED (14) position.

Need to have knowledge of MSDH programs and use that knowledge effectively to assist clients and/or patients as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 2-4+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
