The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients in their daily activities, ensuring a high level of care and comfort. This position is crucial in delivering quality patient service in various settings, including acute care, inpatient units, and teaching hospitals. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide support for patients with developmental disabilities and geriatric needs. Administer medications as prescribed under the supervision of nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Utilize electronic health records (Epic) to document patient information accurately. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to acute care and ICU environments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Nursing Assistant preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage. Previous experience working with patients in acute care or inpatient settings is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
