Apr 21, 2025 Current Team Member Job Description ECU Health About ECU Health Home Health and Hospice ECU Health provides home health and hospice care in 20 counties across eastern North Carolina. Services are coordinated from offices in Ahoskie, Greenville, Kenansville, Washington and Windsor. In addition, ECU Health operates the Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice, an 8-bed facility for patients who require a higher level of hospice care than can be provided at home. Position Summary The Nursing Assistant performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAI listing granted by the NC Department of Health and Human Services. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services. In addition, the Nursing Assistant may be utilized in the Observer Role responsible for monitoring one or more assigned patients on a designated unit for a specified time period. Minimum Requirements Experience in a comparable facility can only be substituted for NA I course by successful completion of challenge exam acceptable to the NC Department of Health and Human Services is required.
Current American Heart Association HeartSaver certification is required.
De-escalation training (Non-violent crisis intervention or other de-escalation program adopted by ECU Health). If not current at the time of hire must complete within 90 days of employment and maintain without lapse during employment. Preferred Requirements 1+ years prior experience in acute hospital
1+ years prior experience in skilled care/nursing home
1+ years prior experience in home health
