Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides for residents personal hygiene: gives baths, showers, back rubs, shaves, nail care, skin care, grooming functions Toilets/assists in bowel and bladder needs: gives bedpans, urinals, assists with toilet/bedside commode use, changes incontinent briefs all with attention to perineal/skin care Assists with dressing Assists with meals and feeds residents, monitors feeding to include passing trays, between meal nourishments, supplements, ice water, measuring intake and output, calorie count, determining percentage of meals eaten Provides preventative care to include ROM, positioning and repositioning, appropriate application of physical restraints. Demonstrates dependability by being punctual; maintains scheduled attendance C.A.R.E. First! Compassionate Acts Reflecting Excellence. Employee exemplifies this in all aspects of the job. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent.
Successful completion of a state approved nurse aid program. Geriatric experience preferred.
Current listing on the North Carolina State Registry.
Must be able to read and write English, follow directions (oral and written) and communicate with residents and staff (oral and written)
CDM Preferred Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent.
