Position Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant II performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAII listing granted by the NC Board of Nursing. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services. In addition, the Nursing Assistant may be utilized in the Observer Role responsible for monitoring one or more assigned patients on a designated unit for a specified time period. Minimum Requirements High School or GED is preferred – or higher De-escalation training (Non-violent crisis intervention or other de-escalation program adopted by ECU Health). If not current at the time of hire must complete within 90 days of employment and maintain without lapse during employment. Active NAI listing with NC Department of Health & Human Services is required. Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required. Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
