POSITION SUMMARY

: Responsible fordelivering person centered care based on the needs and interests ofresidents and members while preserving their dignity and quality oflife.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

: Assist residents with activities ofdaily living which include, but are not limited to, personalhygiene, bathing, dressing, transporting, and transfers. Assistsresidents with dining to include escorting, transferring, ordertaking, serving, feeding, meal preparation, and clean up. Assistwith housekeeping services, including but not limited to, bedmaking, trash removal, laundry, room and bathroom cleaning asneeded, and requests from residents. Leads and assists with lifeenrichment activities with guidance and support from LifeEnrichment Leaders and Supervisors. May include, but is not limitedto, activities, craft/game groups, life skills, daily pleasures,and one on one interaction. Escort residents to scheduledprogramming. Could participate in outings and/or day trips.

Encourages daily participating in scheduled programming. Take andrecord vital signs and weights as ordered or required byregulations. Participates in and attends all in-service trainingand education programs as scheduled. Other duties as assigned.

Full Physical Demands, Work Environment, andExpected Hours of Work:

The physical demands described here arerepresentative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job. Thisposition is very active and requires frequent standing, walking,bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing. This position will berequired to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. and ability to pushup to 250 pounds independently. The individual must use proper bodymechanics to assist residents in their daily living. This positionregularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work.

TRAVEL:

No travel is expected although occasional travel may berequired for training sessions, continuing education opportunities,emergency situations, and other company functions.

EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

State Certification as a Nursing AssistantCertification in CPR, AED, and First Aid Two years’ experience in asimilar healthcare position preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to read, write, speak and understandEnglish fluently. Ability to meet or exceed the company’sattendance and punctuality standards. Ability to use ElectronicRecords and miscellaneous software and office equipment. Ability tounderstand and follow directions as given. Ability to work withminimal supervision.
