The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is critical in delivering high-quality care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and urgent care facilities. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, especially those with dementia or critical care needs. Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving from beds to wheelchairs or other locations. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following hygiene protocols. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (eClinicalWorks) while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver appropriate care based on patient needs in acute care settings. Support pediatric patients by providing age-appropriate care and comfort measures. Skills Strong caregiving abilities with a focus on empathy and patience. Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology to assist in patient care effectively. Experience or familiarity with acute care environments is preferred. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems. Experience in urgent care or critical care settings is a plus. Ability to provide specialized care for patients with dementia or those requiring pediatric support. Familiarity with operating room (OR) protocols is advantageous.
