Overview Urology Clinic Part Time – 26 hours per week The Urology clinic is seeking an LNA to join our team! This department provides care for adult patients (18 years and older) with a variety of urological needs. Job duties of this role include but are not limited to: Performing point of care testing, uroflow, and bladder scans Assisting nurses with picking up chemo meds from oncology Rooming patients Cleaning and stocking rooms Assisting with quality activities such as temperature monitoring of fridges and warmer, maintain quality check logs for centrifuge and urine dip sticks, and document environment of care for the joint commission tracers Assisting with some administrative tasks such as faxing and scanning of medical documents This clinic is open Monday through Friday so there are no night, weekend, or major holiday coverage needs! Responsibilities Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care duties. Possesses direct access to drug products and secure medication locations in order to manage the storage, handling and disposal of medications consistent with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy. Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL’s, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc. Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc. Assists visitors and answer telephones. Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications High school graduate required. Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use. Previous hospital experience preferred. Required Licensure/Certifications Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
