General Summary:
The Licensed Nursing Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care under the immediate direction of the Registered Nurse (RN). Essential Job Functions•: Gives and assists with the physical care of the patient. Reports any changes observed in the condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents. Completes required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Contributes to and participates in the delivery of the Nursing Plan of Care. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, assumes responsibility for their role in emergency situations such as disasters and codes. Accepts and completes assignments as directed by the Registered Nurse. Ability to respond to changing patient conditions appropriately with alertness and adaptability. Attends and participates in department/hospital meetings as required. Complies with hospital and departmental policies, procedures, regulations and standards as related to job. Demonstrates hospital’s stated mission and values of teamwork, respect and communication with co-workers, patients, families and visitors. Actively and appropriately participates in problem-solving identification and resolution, both intra- and inter-departmentally. Meets department customer service standards and strives to enhance the level of customer service provided.
Qualifications:
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant Program.
Preferred:
None.
Work Experience Required:
Experience in a health care setting.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a hospital setting serving the same age/type of patient population.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required:
Current LNA licensure in the State of Hampshire. Have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant).
Other Skills/Knowledge Required:
