Overview:

SentaraPace in Portsmouth is hiring a Full Time Certified NursingAssistant (CNA) for day shift.

This position is a daily combinationof providing care within the patient home and also within thePortsmouth facility.

ScheduleFull time, 40 hours, M-F, can start asearly as 7am and will end no later than 5pmOverviewThe CNA providespatient care, support independent and dependent activities of dailyliving, vital signs, mobility and ambulation, phlebotomy, point ofcare testing, EKG testing, peripheral IV removal, specimencollection, and foley catheter insertion and removal, and complywith patient safety practices under the direction of theprofessional RN nurse. Observe patients’ physical, mental, andemotional conditions and document in a timely and accurate mannerwhile reporting any change to the nurse or medical staff. BasicLife Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Education Highschool Grad or Equivalent (Required)Certification/Licensure CNA BLSExperience One year experience of working with the elderly Patient care, support independent and dependent activities ofdaily living Vital signs, mobility and ambulation Phlebotomy, point of care testing, EKG testing, peripheral IVremoval, specimen collection, and foley catheter insertion andremoval Comply with patient safety practices under the direction of theprofessional RN nurse Observe patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditionsand document in a timely and accurate mannerkeywords: cna,certified nursing assistant, pace, elderly care, portsmouth,norfolk, indeed, talroo-cna
