The payrange for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependentupon experience. $18.75 – $24.50 Position Highlights May beeligible for $5,000 sign on bonus! 5:45am-6:15pm; 72 hrs/2wksincluding working every third weekend and holiday. A Brief Overview Accountable for providingdirect, personal care and services to residents in the skillednursing facility, which meet the physical, academical, social andspiritual needs on a daily basis to maintain and improve theirhighest level of independent function. What you will do Providesassistance to residents with their activities of daily livingPerforms routine duties and non-routine duties as directed bynursing staff. This may include but not limited to assistingpatients with bathing and dressing needs, shaving, oral hygiene,bed making, transfers into and out of bed, repositioning, toiletingneeds, serving and collecting food trays, encouraging and/orassisting with feeding, answering call lights, insuring a cleanenvironment, transporting patients upon admission and dismissal,assisting with ambulation and orienting/reorienting of resident tothe facility environment to insure resident safety. Performs bloodpressure, pulse, temperature, respiration and weight. Documentsconcise and factual information on the appropriate forms. Performsor assists residents in performing specific medical care activitiesin accordance with established policy and procedure to contributeto the patient’s plan of care. This includes assisting residents inperforming restorative exercises, collecting specimens as directedby nursing staff. Assessing and documenting completed cares.

Provide feedback to nursing staff immediately on status or changesin patient conditions, pain management, and other importantconcerns. Assists with restocking supplies and maintainingappropriate work environment in unit including cleaning procedures.

Participates in providing emotional, educational and spiritualsupport for families. Complies with all aspects of resident rightsincluding confidentiality and privacy. Reports all allegations ofresident abuse or misappropriation of resident property.

Understanding and following established policy and proceduresrelated to fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universalprecautions, infection control procedures, hazardous and chemicalcommunication program. Maintains an environment that is clean andsafe for all residents, families and staff. Responsibilitiesinclude interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retainingemployees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressingcomplaints and resolving problems. Essential Qualifications Theindividual must be able to work the hours specified. To performthis job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential job function satisfactorily including having visualacuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability tocommunicate effectively with others, hear, understand anddistinguish speech and other sounds.
