JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CertifiedNursing Assistant (CNA) to join our oral surgery team. The idealcandidate is enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to thrive in afast-paced environment while providing top-notch patient care. Aspart of a collaborative surgical team, the CNA will assist insurgeries, patient preparation, documentation, and post-operativecare. A strong focus on patient safety, communication, and teamcoordination is essential. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assistsurgeons during oral surgery procedures, including startingintravenous (IV) lines and ensuring all necessary equipment isavailable.
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughoutsurgeries to ensure patient safety.
- Prepare patients for surgeryand discharge, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Verify patient identity and operative sites to confirm proceduralaccuracy.
- Discuss the nature of the surgical procedure with thesurgeon, including operative consent, patient-advanced directives,and other needs.
- Monitor patient’s intra-operative andpost-operative status and report any concerns.
- Obtain dentalradiographs and digital imaging as needed.
- Complete patientclinical narratives accurately and promptly.
- Perform otherrelated duties as assigned by the surgeon or practice management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) orLicensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Graduate from an accreditedschool/college of nursing required.
- Minimum of two years ofrelevant experience in a medical or surgical setting.
- Current BLScertification or ability to complete within one month of hire.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one year ofexperience in oral surgery, dental surgery, or a related field.
- Familiarity with dental radiographs and imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to support patientcare and team coordination
